Interview With Nicolas Panteli – Futsal Goalkeeper From Greece

How long have you been involved in Futsal?
I’m  21 years old,  I work as a goalkeeper coach and I study Sports Science. The club I play for is Ethnikos Latsion , a small team in Cyprus.
I used to play as a goalkeeper in soccer 11v11 and I turned to Futsal the past year.  I realise that I have more chances to compete something good in Futsal than soccer .
What do you like most about Futsal?
In Futsal I like the terrain and also that is a very fast game so you have to be awake every second.
How often do you train per week?
In regular season I train with my team 4 times a week. Now in pre-season, I tried to  train by my own with the help of my friends, as you see in my videos, 5-6 times a week.
Please describe what futsal is like where you live i.e. the state of the game
In a few words this sport in my country is very ignored  and poor and the professional players are few.  A simple paradigm is that after the regular season(that is summer) the players are inactive for three months until the start of the new regular season. Almost 3/4 of the players work and play futsal at the same time.
What is your favourite futsal club (club or international)
I like Barca and Inter.
Do you want to become a professional and if so how do you plan on doing it?
I would like to start playing good in my country and somehow a scouter from other country to see me . Other way is by the Twitter ,you know, you never know who might see my videos in social media.
What is your favourite memory so far in your futsal journey i.e. favourite game, goal or save etc.
To be honest I do not have any favourite memory yet. I just wait for the new season to have one.
